So hotdog guy returns, and he’s still in shadow. You can see a bit more of him now, though. Any vague resemblance to a person who creates this comic is entirely coincidental.

Some people on the last strip told me that hotdog guy reminded them of the garbage collector in Dilbert, but it hit me when doing this strip what the hotdog guy’s real inspiration was: Wilson, the neighbor from Home Improvement. It must have been subconscious, but the similarities are striking. I am not ashamed to say that Home Improvement was, in some fashion, my muse. For the record, that show was funnier than it should have been.

On another note, there are many awesome little details in the background of this strip that got totally obscured in the final strip. There’s a cool bust of Freud next to the hotdog stand, and the hotdog guy’s certificate of hotdogology on the wall. All hidden. Dang it.

Check out Puck’s Facebook Page if you want to see the whole background – and an unmasked hotdog guy – in a little special Facebook-only mini-comic.

Also, CHECK OUT THE INCENTIVE: MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!!!

May the Fourth has passed, but that doesn’t mean you should miss your chance to see the Puck gang in … attire. It may or may not feature a metal bikini! (Okay, it DOES feature a metal bikini.)

Though this particular incentive pic isn’t available through voting on TWC anymore, you can purchase the pic from the STORE! It’s only a buck for a set of five voting incentives! That’s what I call a deal!
