As for this comic…
Puck doesn’t get enough credit for her people skills. She’s a wily little number sometimes.
And our friendly raccoon is busy “digesting” his mission details.
You noticed.
Yes, wheelman!
All dudes want to be one. Few qualify.
Every time I hear Wheelman, I hear “CooCoo CaChu” in my head!
Hopefully Colin won’t listen to Daphne deflating his role….
Nah. We men have very selective hearing when it comes to our egos.
Puck knows how to manage her man!
She’s been at it a while.
Vehicular Babysitting?
THAT’S CORN!
BTW, are you seeing us up for another visit from the sleep depriving police officer?
No. But I’m setting up some other things.
Just don’t draw the attention of a cop this time.
Good call.
Well they do need someone who can know the roads and shortcuts well enough just in case.
I don’t think Colin even qualifies for that.
I don’t think Colin can manage the “wouldn’t talk much” part of that. Give that assignment to the raccoon.
You share my suspicions.
Wouldn’t that make him a real baby driver?
I’ll see myself out.
No, don’t leave! With material that good, we need you here!
Seconded.
Colin will be the baby-sitter, the getaway driver, the look-out. A man for all skulduggery, our Colin. Plus, when the fit hits the shan, he’ll bail the others out of the lock-up, the hoosegow, the Black Maria, the Big House, the Hamilton Hilton . . .
Colin’s the guy in the huddle who’s told to go long. He’s the guy sent to the outfield. No, farther… Keeeep going.
He’s a man of many small talents.
One of them is having a positive bank account.
Becoming a responsible adult rebellion leader, Daphne has traded earnestness for her sarcastic edge. Fortunately, Puck has found the right balance. Colin isn’t remotely aware he’s been zinged.
The well-balanced stealth zing is the Cadillac of zings.
I really like Puck’s expression in panel 4. I know nothing about the craft that goes into cartooning, but there’s all sorts of rather sweet, but unspoken stuff going on in Puck’s remark and her endearing facial expression captures it all.
It’s nice to see Puck isn’t always mean. I think Colin needs some self-actualization.
Puck knows he needs a bone thrown to him now and then. As long as the bone costs her nothing to throw.
Hey! Don’t tell the man how to sit babies! If he’s happy, so will Miranda. To misquote a famous logician: It’s not about reality but fantasy. Colin’s
Exactly. If he thinks he’s cool, let him enjoy it.
The Queen of Hearts is eating a cherry (or strawberry) tart!
Remember when we could get those things at Tim Horton’s? Along with the Danish, turnovers, and other lost treats?
I do remember. The before times. Before Burger King. Before the Empire.
The tarts are gone? O, my!
Tracee Jr. seems to want to talk about her assignment. This might not be what she planned.
Well, the raccoon probably wrote the dang thing, for all we know.
Fair point.
Or dictated it. Keyboards are so unfairly big
