This strip was one of the ‘summertime’ strips that appeared in the infrequent monthly summer issues of the Silhouette. (I always tried to keep the strips vaguely seasonal.) I knew I wouldn’t be able to top Phoebe’s thong from strip 27, but I didn’t want to disappoint on her summer wardrobe, so I had her change from the usual outfit to the halter top and short shorts you see here. Looking at it now, her outfit is actually almost a uniform for girls on most campuses whenever the temperature is above freezing. Puck gets an outfit change too – one of the few in the series – though her ensemble is definitely less stylish than Phoebe’s.
I still like this one: pure personality humour.
It seems to be strip 28, not 27.
You are correct. I don’t even know my own comic. 🙁
Little wonder that the Count was wrong. The bee was not to be. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Korzybski
That’s smart, that.
Cue song from the LP, since it wasnt in the show…take it away, Eric the orchestra leader!
Except the “cortico-thalamic pause” (which is the only thing I remember from reading his book) was actually a good idea.
Thank you. It’s easy for the smart to play dumb, but there is rarely a chance to play it the other way round, so I made it a principle to use me every opportunity.
Thank goodness Phoebe didn’t have a hammer.
😉
@ChrisH
Robin STOLE IT from Phoebe when they were roomies.
Only Puck has a hammer.
@EG
Yeah … NOW.
For a woods fairy, Puck seems surprisingly averse to nature.
Funny that, huh?
She got her revenge.
