It’s a title that comes with rewards, including actual original comic art getting mailed to you. As for this comic…
I realize that this comic functionally has no punch line. Rather, it has a surprising reveal. I feel a surprising reveal is the functional equivalent of a punch line, but I may be wrong on the exchange rate.
And for those who are wondering, it has been previously established in a previous comic that Emily and Daphne know each other. But did we expect this? No. Well, I’m sure one of you kooky nutbars expected it. But we won’t count that.
I knew the raccoons would show up, but the person leading them is a surprise to me. Still, there has to be a lot of food in there for the raccoons to grab.
Well, we have to throw in a few surprises here and there.
Yeah, this is definitely a better surprise than spotting a fleshy headed mutant in sector 16-B.
“Smithers, who is this gastropod?”
We aim high.
Not quite as fun as unleashing a live badger in someone’s bedroom, but it’ll do.
All I want is for it to suffice.
When only just enough is appropriate.
Oooh Emily 🙂
Unexpected cat girl!
<3 for surprise cat girl!
And I see she at least can follow Daphne's dress code.
That’s why she’s not a distraction.
Hunh. I had just assumed that a path was cleared beforehand, but I guess there was too much risk of that being detected.
Also, convincing a bunch of critters to wait before looting the joint.
Yeah, what was I thinking?
Well, someone had to clear a path so that there could be a job for Emily.
This is kind of off-brand for Emily, but hey, raccoons are still adorable and certainly chaotic.
I considered cats, but I feel strongly that Phoebe’s animal communication powers would not give her control over cats, because cats are uncontrollable.
Cats and raccoons working together…mass hysteria!
Emily… from the comic book store… in a racoon mask? Did we know before now she was a cat thief?
Nope. We knew nothing.
I went back to check out the obscure character from the TWC vote incentive (yes, I doubt that I gave her any further thought after those 2 strips) and was struck by how much your art has improved in the interim. Well done!
Things have improved a little. The old strips look kinda rough.
Cute little rascals, rocketing into action, woo-woo!
Like shooting out of a raccoon cannon!
Ooo, the Trash Ninja Division! (Chaos theme intensifies)
They definitely have a certain kooky power to destroy order.
Cat-girl-burglar…
She’s a cat girl with a particular set of skills.
What a pleasant surprise! I’m glad Emily’s found a useful purpose!
This is the first time we’ve seen her outside the nerd store, actually.
chaos thy name is raccoon
Chester Chaos Raccoon.
Chester was his dad’s name, so he goes by Chaos. Much like my dad.
I’m counting 4 wild cards and a jack of hearts.
I wonder if there are ingresses at the other points or if those are all further distractions.
There will certainly be other ingresses.
Loveit.
I can see Tracee cosplaying as Elvira.
But since we’re doing horror hosts, what about Colin as Svengooli? And Puck as Joel Robinson. Daphne might find it beneath her.
Ooh! Phoebe can be the first Elvira
The first Elvira? You mean Vampira?
Nope. [Frantic diving into Wikipedia] Oh, I guess I do. She can certainly pull it off.
We are not doing horror hosts. Elvira just won the overall costume vote.
Awww. 😉
Miranda as Annabelle
